We are simply trying to hold space for
people interested in group relations work.
We serve as a home for people who have experienced the power of group relations work, particularly in combination with spirituality and social justice. We want to nurture the GR network by offering a place to co-create as individuals and/or organizations. We are open to collaboration around group relations conferences and application events, writing, reflecting and meeting. We offer to stay connected with “the work” in various ways. We pay attention to where the energy takes us.
The programs we offer at this moment are listed in the activities section. As we are growing in numbers, we are beginning to create local (and virtual) communities that people may join to nurture “the work.”

Interfaith Encounters
Meeting at the Boundaries:
Dialogue, Difference,
and Shared Humanity
In a world increasingly shaped by polarization, religious and faith identities can become powerful sources of meaning, belonging, and at times division. Interfaith Encounters offers a reflective and experiential space, in which we can meet each other with curiosity, respect and hope. Throughout 2025 & 2026, Minnesota has been in the public eye as a contested space; yet, people may be unaware of its long history of interfaith work and social action, which makes it a natural context for our planned in-person interfaith encounter in 2027.
In 2026, this three-day virtual experiential conference is offered to bring together leaders of religious groups including Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu communities. Grounded in group relations methodology, the conference invites participants to examine the way groups process, identity formation, leadership and followership operate within and between faith communities. The Conference will explore how dialogue can open pathways to connection without obliterating differences, while paying attention to leadership and followership as boundary functions, and how dialogue can humanize the ‘other’.
The hierarchical nature of religious organizations in general and the leadership roles clergy and faith leaders take up, may elicit a response or challenge to authority which can be confusing or conflictual. The Conference will help participants to recognize and respond to these complex dynamics in ourselves and others, enabling us to stay in our roles and on task. The Conference will include small and large groups, a Social Dream Matrix, Review and application work, and an intergroup Societal event. The Conference will be a point of renewal, where insight, energy and perspective develop during and after the conference ends. Join us and co-create an experience that can open new ways of seeing and working.
